Angel, Nope... not actually nursing Audra in that picture. Just snuggling. I haven't attempted the breast-feeding and bottle-feeding at one time, *yet*. :)
Thanks for your encouragement, girls. I'd bet my children would debate the "great mom" point with you today, though. I feel like I'm losing it.
I just love this picture! What a great momma you are! Snuggling one, feeding another, and reading to three others! Thank the Lord he made women multi-taskers! :) ~Amy Crawford
My prayer is that my kids look back and remember I was THERE, constant, even if not always constantly nice. :) I think that's the best an at home mom can hope for in these early days. My last 2 were 18 months apart (but my 18mo old was then delayed and much like a baby still), so I can relate.
I love how, as our families grow, our older kids become more content with the back or side of the couch position during storytime (like where Ella is sitting right now)!
What a sweet pic. I'm praying for you and like my husband says to me if you feed them and love them it's been a successful day....even though they ate peanut butter and jelly for the third day in a row....and the laundry pile is taller then you are....and the dust bunnies are starting to look like household pets.
Hi Stacy, I was searching for other adoption blogs and came across yours and I'm so happy I did! Your family is beautiful! We adopted a biracial little girl in March of last year and I love to read others adoption stories! God is so good! Please feel free to stop by anytime to visit...you know in your free time & all (he he) Grace & Peace!
Welcome to my blog!
My name is Stacy,
and I'm just a girl who loves Jesus,
my husband Mark, and the five children God has entrusted to us.
Thank you for visiting!
You are doing so great, Stacy. It might seem crazy, but you are doing it. =) Look at those content children. =)
ReplyDeleteAre you nursing and bottle-feeding at the same time whilst reading books? I'm in awe! You go girl!!!

I love that picture! It is amazing that your fit in that chair with all your kiddos. Try taking that picture again in just a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteOne day at a time, one feeding at a time, one story at a time, right?
You and Mark are doing an amazing job.
Much love,
Angie Smartt
Now that's a cute chair. :)

ReplyDeleteFantastic picture--you look like a natural (that is when it comes to taking care of five children under seven years of age).
