Finger knitting

:: The perfect activity for children recovering from the stomach flu ::

Every stuffed animal in the house may have a new scarf by the end of the day!

Of course, I had to try it, too. It's a lot of fun!

  3. Thanks Stacy!

I've never heard of this before...though it looks just like the knitting mushroom's effect. I know 4 girls and boys that will love to have a go at this. Hmmm, I wonder if I give them wool yarn, if they can make a rug...lol.

thank you for rejoicing with us!

  4. Oh, good. I'm glad to know some of your children will also be interested. :)

Ella knit several little scarves today, and told me many times how thankful she was that I had taught her how to do this. It was so nice for her to be able to pick it up and do it on her own from start to finish, and feel so accomplished with the result.

  5. I am so glad you shared this Stacy! Sadie sat down and knitted a long scarf for herself that became a hair band and has started another. The tutoral was just her speed.:)
I am always on the lookout for DIY crafts for her. Thanks!

  7. When you first posted this, I bookmarked it for a rainy day.

Last week was that rainy day. I had the boys read your post/picture tutorial and then watch the video. They were so excited about it.

They did little else in their free time for the next few days. We were eve at the beach, ready to play and they asked "Can we stay in the car and finger knit?" Of course I said "no!"

The end result was some very nice scarves for Aunt Helen's birthday and scarves and bracelets for others too.

    Thanks so much for this!
