If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. -James 1:26That verse has had me reeling for a few weeks now. Ugh. Some days I feel like I'm sinning every other minute with my tongue. I am thankful for this only because it brings me to the fresh realization that I am in desperate need of my Savior; and that there is no good in me apart from Him. I am so thankful for the good news of Jesus- that my sins have been paid in full.
This morning for Bible time we illustrated this verse, from Proverbs (using Draw to Learn Proverbs):
I am right there with you, friend.
ReplyDeleteSo neat, we are using Draw to Learn Proverbs this year too.
FUN! (not that you're right there with me on the tongue thing, but that we're using the same thing!) ;)
DeleteAnd good job reading 54 of 75 books so far! I am impressed.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI've really enjoyed your series on schooling this year. Thank you. Still praying here for your healing from all the losses this year. May God's hand of comfort continue to be on you. Blessings
ReplyDeleteOh, Annie. I'm so touched that you are still praying for me. (((Thank you, kind friend.))) Love to you.
DeleteIt's always the way isn't it that what we read and pray for our children lands firmly (and convictingly) on our hearts too? It's good I guess as we try to lead by example! It's fun to see those drawing pages - looks like a great book. Everywhere I turn at the moment I seem to be reading and seeing journal art and art prayers...I think I need to jump into that myself soon!
