*2006 post*
Yesterday as I stood in Amy’s kitchen, she told me she was ready to be done blogging.
I was surprised and disappointed. Aren’t you, too?
I think Reforming Motherhood is a great blog. And I think the reason it is a great blog is that it’s been half Amy’s. (This is what I tried to express to you in the kitchen, but didn’t do a great job of it, Amy.)
This whole blogging venture was one we decided to embark on together. And I like it that way. So I’m sad to see it go.
And I’m not yet sure where that leaves me. All alone over here at Reforming Motherhood? Or do I begin again somewhere else in the blogosphere? In my own little corner with a new look and a new name? Or maybe it’s time for me to hang up my blogging hat, too. I’m not sure yet. But I wanted to let you know.
You have so much to offer us all, Amy. I’m sorry to see you leave the blogging world. For me, at least- you’re still a phone call or a short drive away, though. And I’m thankful for that.
For the rest of you, though, please do say goodbye to Amy.

I just started reading and enjoying your blog! Say it ain't so!
It has been fun to come here and read a new post almost daily, but if that is too much for you to keep up, blogging doesn't have to be a daily chore. Most of the blogs that I visit are not updated daily.

OK, what would your response be if Preschoolers and Peace ceased to exist? That's how I feel if Reforming Mama (BOTH of you) go away! Please at least promise to do a pop-in now and again and add your sweet words, Amy!

That's too bad, but I understand too.
I hope you will continue to blog Stacy. I have really appreciated this blog and the insight that both of you offer.

This is one of my favorite blogs- I check it daily! I completely understand if Amy needs to move on but, Stacy, couldn't you at least continue blogging here? Maybe you could find someone else to join you? I'd still enjoy hearing what you have to say- I hope you decide to continue.

I know you have no idea who I am...but I've enjoyed your blog over the last month (I can't remember how I found it!). And I'm not a mother...or a female. I read this blog b/c...well...I want to understand better how to minister to the needs of my wife and kids (whoever she and they will be off in the future...God-willing).
So...please don't stop!

I have thoroughly enjoyed both of your writings in your blog, so I am sad to see Amy leave and Stacy contemplate leaving. I understand that daily blogging can be cumbersome however. Amy, I hope you change your mind because we will miss you, and Stacy I hope you continue blogging because you have a lot of wisdom to share. ~Amy Crawford

Thank you so much for all the kind words. As I told Stacy, I’ve finally started “officially” homeschooling my kids and am currently looking for something to drop from my schedule. I so enjoy reading the blogs from all you that I couldn’t possibly cut out that out. However, lately it has become a bit more of burden to come up with something to write a few times per week as I have been. The enjoyment I received from it in the beginning is starting to wane and I think it’s because I’m just running out of good ideas. I’m not planning on giving up entirely, but if Stacy decides to start her own blog somewhere, you may want to check back her more like once per month rather than every morning. Something in my schedule has to give and given my “bloggers block”, this seems like the right thing to scale back. I still plan to read my favorite blogs and comment when I have something worthwhile to add, I’m just planning on scaling back my posting frequency.
But again, thank you so much for all your encouragement. It really does mean a lot to me that people have found that my opinions have added something to their lives. I’m humbled and honored to be used by our Father in such a wonderful way.

Just the other day, after dinner, I was talking to my husband about blogging. I don't personally have a blog (after much discussion we decided it would be best that I not as I have a tendency to lack self-control, discipline, and time management skills :) ) I was saying that I was starting to kind of lose interest in some of the blogs that I read and was slowly deleting them from Bloglines. And I don't read them all everyday anymore. I told him that I think that in the next few months I will probably stop reading most of them. But, I mentioned Reforming Motherhood and said that this is one that I would definitely keep reading. I feel like you both are the kind of ladies that I would want to be friends with in real life and I appreciate the ideas that you write about and the honesty with which you share. Amy, I can certainly understand your need to move on but I pray that you will still stop in from time to time. And if you need a friend who lives in a different time zone (think someone who's awake during middle of the night feeds), please feel free to email (michele AT whitesonthego DOT com)

You are so sweet, all of you. I have to say, I am stunned that a GUY reads our blog! (See comment #7)! That is very cool. Recently my husband has said he may pop in as a guest blogger. I keep telling him our readership consists of mothers. Women. And that they might not be interested in hearing football or baseball stats. :) But maybe a few of them would be! :)
I plan to post again on Monday.

I've just been catching up on your blog. I'm sorry to hear Amy's opting out of blogging, but it is certainly understandable. I hope Stacy keeps the blog open and modifies the description or something, because it's a great site! Love your put off put on post.

Sep. 17, 2006 - Hi Girls!

I must echo the sentiments of so many others. I am so sad to see Amy go. You girls seem like you have such a tight friendship, and that is an example for others and something that others long for. It's a precious witness.
That said, Amy, I do understand. I understand that it is hard to come up with new things to write everyday. I understand that it is something that takes up time as you try to homeschool.
But, selfishly, I would be so sad to see Reforming Motherhood go. I have loved visiting here. I have been encouraged, challenged, refreshed and made to laugh. I have also loved developing a like-minded friendship with someone else in the blogging world. That would be missing, Stacy, if you left the blog. But, I do understand.
I'm sure you already have but ask the Father. He will show you what to do, Stacy.
Love,
Joni, a Reforming Motherhood junkie!
