Prepped and ready to go!

{on the menu for breakfast: Yogurt Coffee Cake, requested by Ella}

Seriously? We get to do this?

...Eat some coffee cake and drink some tea as we kick off our school year? Yummy fall-scented candles will be lit, and I'll be hearing the happy chatter of my favorite people in the whole world!

Ah... I can't wait!

  1. Our official day started today. It was a good day. I was thinking the same thing...I get to do this? Even with all it's hardships this past year it is such a gift!

I have so wanted to share our plans but just haven't gotten around to it. I am just having fun with my kids.

Happy First day friends! And how about the yogurt coffee cake recipe when you get a chance. That sounds too yummy.

  2. oh and don't ya just love a nice fresh white board...just makes me smile (yes, I am a nerd and proud of it)

  3. That is exactly how I feel! So blessed that I get to do this. Looking forward to learning WITH them. Together. Building our relationships and their character as we learn, learn, learn! I love that.

We don't have coffee cake or candles or anything like that but we have the same sort of looking forward to what we get to accomplish together feeling. It is a simple pleasure really.

Those letter cards above your white board are SO COOL!!!!

  4. Sandi~
Oh, happy first day back, friend! I can't wait to hear what you're doing.

Yes about the coffee cake recipe: I'll share. And yes about the white board. I love it. Clean, fresh slate!

I know... isn't it so exciting to be able to learn right alongside of them? I'm glad you're heading into this year feeling so blessed to be able to do this, too! :)

  5. Sounds like a perfect fall day - enjoy the teaching and the learning! :)

  6. Can't wait to read about all you do this year! Made the banana oat smoothies this morning! They were a hit! :)

  7. Thanks, Teri!

Kara~ Oh, I'm *so* glad to know you tried them and liked them! (We've had them twice since we initially made them, too- my kids keep requesting them and wanted to introduce their new drink to daddy, too! :))

  8. Have a great day, Stacy! Can't wait to hear how school is going! I've been lighting fall candles during school too. I love it. :)

  9. Jodi,
Thanks! I'm actually headed out to purchase MORE fall candles today. (Ahem. One of my *favorite* fall things to purchase. That and Pumpkin Spice lattes, right now. :))
