You're the best!

Can I just say how much I love all of you readers?

Really.

I headed over to A Mother's Musings this morning to check in on Mrs. M, and those of you who headed over there from here left such encouraging and thoughtful comments. I would just like to give you each a big (((hug)))! It makes me so thankful that you are my blogging friends. You are *so* the type of friends I would have in real life. Won't you all come over for coffee and dessert? What should we have? Something chocolatey?

I really do think someday some planner-type person should organize a big 'ole bloggers retreat. Can you imagine? Then we could meet each other face to face. I'd love it, girls. You're the best!

  1. Chocolate ANYthing, yes please. Although, just to look into your eyes and hug your neck would be a gift in and of itself!
    Someday!

  2. I would have to agree with you. Thanks for asking for prayer on our behalf.

Thank you to all the ladies who took the time to encourage me and care for our family. We so appreciate it.

  3. Something chocolatey sounds nice.... if only you were just a wee bit closer! Erik is in Idaho this week, but I'm just not up for another long road trip. A blogger friend retreat sounds lovely!
You asked how our chickens are doing... good for the most part. We've been getting about two dozen eggs a week for the last few weeks. Sadly, one of our hens, Penny, died on Saturday. I don't know how, just found her stretched out when I went to collect eggs in the morning. We were all sad, and puzzled.
I hope you have a lovely week with your precious ones. I assume there's no news on the adoption front? Keep us posted!
    Blessings,
    Rebeca

  4. Hi Stacy,

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello. I'm SURE that you will get to go to the special place with Mike and Amy soon enough. Didn't Mike just find out about this place not too long ago? We didn't go in the water (it was a cool day), but it was a nice walk in the woods. And we surely won't be doing any cliff jumping EVER!
    I hear Aidan gets to jump when he's 8.......at least that's what he told me and my girls! ,-}

  5. The fact that you are a praying woman who sends us over to pray for others shows ME that YOU'RE the kind of friend I'd love in real life. If we got together today I'd pick coffee and some yummy coffee cake that has chocolate chips or something in it. :)

  6. Yes, anything chocolate would be perfect!! I'll be right over :-)

And I was just thinking the other day that it would be so wonderful to have a retreat or something where we could all meet and spend time together. Maybe some day...

  8. I just like you all so much. :)

Elise-- Aw, thank you. You, too! And, yes, someday we WILL meet.

Mrs. M-- Praying for you, dear friend. That He would sustain you and comfort you. And that the enemy would not bring doubt, fear, or hopelessness. Love you.

Rebeca-- Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about Penny. Dear me, how did P & A handle that? Ella is so attached to our chickens she'd be one very sad girl if anything happened to them. Our hens are laying good now. I think all of them are laying now. One just started. And one of them (maybe two) keeps laying her eggs from the ROOST. So we go in in the mornings and there's an egg splattered on the floor. *Sigh* This happened once at first and Mark went out early to move her from the roost to the nesting box (thinking that even if she didn't lay there she wasn't likely to climb back up on the roost), and that seemed to work. And now it's happening again. Someone is very confused, clearly. :)

Marmee-- Uh, no. No cliff-jumping for us, either. :) Yikes!!! I mean, if it was 10 feet up, maybe. No more.

Cindy-- AWWWW... you are so sweet. :) And MMM! Chocolate-y coffee cake sounds great!

Beka-- I wish! I know.. someday someone will have to put something like that together.

Carrie-- Hi you! I've noticed your little comments here and there (and I love them!) Thanks for your kind words! :) Let's get together sometime next week (!!!) and eat chocolate with Michelle, huh? Maybe you girls can teach me that card game they started to teach us last time but then didn't? *grin* OR you could help me raid Michelle's recipes. She owes me a few.

  9. Hi Stacy! We went to high school together, but didn't really know each other. I got your blog address from Amy (our boys are in Cub Scouts together.) It was fun to hear that you live at the other end of our same road, are homeschooling, and even adopting from the same agency we adopted our kids from (I could tell by the description of the process.) We are hoping to start the process again soon, too! I'm enjoying your blog, and can't wait to try the laundry soap (which store did you go to? They didn't have the supplies at Haggen.) I also share your dream for a farm someday, and would love to talk with you about chickens in the city - sounds like fun!

  10. hi hilary!
amy told me that she thought you lived close by... :) and that's great that you adopted from the same agency. sounds like we have a lot in common! we'll have to get in touch so you can pass on some tips on working with the state. (goodness sakes! did they take forEVER to get back to you?) i got my laundry soap ingredients at FM. (i didn't check anywhere else...) i'd love to know your blog address so i can "meet" you there, too. :)
    have a great day!

  11. Carrie,
You're probably so confused by my last comment. Sorry! There's another Carrie that has commented on my blog, and I thought your comment was from her. It took me until your next comment (on habits/routines) to realize: "Oh! This isn't the Carrie I thought it was!"

Sorry for any confusion. And I'm glad to meet another Carrie. If you have a blog, I'd love to come check it out. :)
