Simmering on my stove today...

1 satsuma orange, halved
1 cinnamon stick
6 whole cloves, poked into the orange halves
a splash of vanilla
water

The whole house is fragrant with the smell.

  5. This was my most favorite smell growing up. My mom would mix it and put it on the woodstove...made the house smell so cozy. :D

  6. I have never thought of simmering something for the smell...I'm usually cooking something! I'm filing this idea away for when I'm not cooking!

Of course the Lambies will be wanting to know what's for dessert!

Maybe a smoothie with the same ingredients!

  9. Stacy,
This is a GREAT idea. I can't wait for a day cold enough to make me want to stay inside for the aroma!
